Fun Bento Lunches For Kids

I have been having a lot of fun making my son's bento lunches so far this school year. And he really likes them. I am not all that creative with my bentos though, I just don't think I have the patience for all the fancy extras. That doesn't keep me from oohing and aahing over them and spending way too much time on Pinterest searching for them. Here are a few of my favorites that I have come across. Maybe some day I'll give them a try.

Frog bento. I love the details on the grapes and cucumbers.

Owl bento. Actually looks fairly simple. just need to cut up some cheese and olives for the details.

Cupcake bento. This would be great to make on your child's birthday.

Taco cup bento. I think this is brilliant. it might be a little messy for a 1st grader, but definitely something I want to try when he gets older. I would include some type of bean to go with it too. Yum!

Chream cheese & ham pinwheel bento. I really want to try a pinwheel style sandwich. I think it would be a big hit.

Star Wars bento. Of course I had to include a Star Wars one in here. I have those same cookies cutters to make the character shaped sandwiches, but I haven't gone into detail to embellish the faces. That's pretty darn cool.

What is your favorite site to find ideas for bento lunches?

  1. those are awesome! I love the star wars one the best, but I do not have time to embellish the faces. Wow.

My 4 yo loves turkey slices rolled up with cream cheese. That is one of her favorite things to eat LOL

  7. So so adorable! The frog one is definitely my favorite, though. :) A friend of mine has a blog called Adventures in Bentomaking, so I'm partial to that site myself.
