Its Amazing What A Haircut Can Do

I don't get myself to the salon too often. Haircuts are just too darn expensive. But I was long overdo and needed one badly. So this morning, while daddy took our 4.5 year old to soccer, my mom came over to watch the twins while I went to get my haircut. I have to admit that I drive to another state for my haircut - about 30 minutes. Not very eco-friendly, I know, but I can honestly say that with the exception of my grandfather once as a young child, no one else has every cut my hair. Ever.

So lately I have been feeling rather fat and unattractive and well, just bleh. It is amazing what just a basic haircut can do for your self esteem. I just went in for my traditional trim, cutting a few inches off. But I walked out feeling so much better about myself. Well I still feel fat, large is a better word actually, but I am much happier about my hair. If I wasn't absolutely exhausted, I'd throw on a little eye color and take a picture. Maybe another day. :)

  1. I love the day of a haircut. It really does make a difference in how we feel. I'll bet you look fantastic!

  2. That is awesome that you we able to get a nice haircut that you really like. Post some pics when you get a chance. Have a good day.

  3. I bet it looks great!!

You technically WEIGH LESS now that you cut some hair off!! So YAY!

  4. So glad you love it, and feel great! I got my cut a few weeks ago, and still love how much better I'm feeling with it. :)

  5. We need pics!!

I love how a day at a salon makes me feel too...although it only happens about twice a year :(

    I think I am due :)

  6. yay for hair cuts!
i think spending a little time with someone out of norm, such as the hairstylist is also a big part of what makes me leave feeling refreshed.
after my hair fiasco, I am going to try and make my salon vists more then bi-annual.

  7. I know, we just don't take care of ourselves like we should - when something like a hair cut can make all the difference, it makes us realize that we need to do more to feel ahhhh-mazing more often. Now you've got me thinking about going in for a trim (long overdue as well!)
