Wordless Wednesday: Hydrangeas

Hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers. When we first planted our only hydrangea plant a few years back it was teeny tiny but now it is enormous. I threw some iron nails in the surrounding dirt when we planted it which resulted in more of a violet color. Each year it has gotten more and more blue like you see here, so I just put some more nails in the ground to see if it changes back next year. While the blue is beautiful too, I really love the violet.
