The Safe Sporter Review & Giveaway

I have done several reviews/giveaways for Kid Basix and their great cups in the past so I am pleased to share another one with you all today. We've really had a great experience with The Safe Sippy cups we received for our toddler twins so when I saw they had a cup for older children, I knew we had to try it out. But first, a little bit about Kid Basix:

Our founder created The Safe Sippy™ cup because he knows how dangerous plastics are, and it drove him crazy that he was giving his two year old son water every morning in a cup made from toxic chemicals.

It is our goal that the future products from Kid Basix have the same simple singleness of purpose: Making kids’ live better.

From The Safe Starter™ stainless steel baby bottle to The Safe Sippy™ and Safe Sippy2™ drink cups to The Safe Sporter™ sports bottles, Kid Basix has become a name parents trust. All of our products are made with one simple goal in mind: Clean in, Clean out.
Now we use mostly stainless steel straw cups for the kids and I have a small collection of stainless steel water bottles for myself. My 4.5 year old is always looking to use my bigger water bottles when we are out, but they really are not kid friendly. Most of them don't even have a sports top, just a wide mouth that results in water dripping down his chin. The Safe Sporter however is designed specifically for children so you will not have any problem like that.

Kid Basix was kind enough to send us one in lime green to try out. William was so excited when he saw it, and kept asking me if that was his new cup. I think it makes him feel like a "big boy." Like other Kid Basix products, The Safe Sporter is made from stainless steel and the few plastic parts it does have are free of BPA and phthalates. This cup has some pretty neat features too. My favorite is the flip-top cap. It keeps the spout clean when the cup is rolling around in your bag or when you are out and about. And since it is attached you don't have to worry about losing it. The wide mouth on the cup not only makes it easy to get ice in there it also makes is super easy to clean. All parts are dishwasher safe, I just prefer to wash it by hand.

Like I said, William was so excited to get this cup and try it out. He absolutely loves using it. The spout is really easy for him to open and drink from. If you are looking to move your child away from straw cups and into an "older" cup, this is definitely one you should check out!

The Safe Sporter is available in two sizes: 12 oz and 16 oz. The 12 oz comes in lime green, blue and pink and the 16 oz comes in blue, yellow and sea green.

The Safe Sporter is available to purchase at multiple online retailers such as Amazon.com and The Soft Landing.
