Campaign for Safe Cosmetics: A Closer Look

Unfortunately, there are a lot of toxic, yucky chemicals in our cosmetics and personal care products. The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics is a coalition of nonprofit health and environmental organizations. Their goal is to get the cosmetic industry to stop using chemicals that are linked to cancer, birth defects and other medical issues. A few weeks ago they released the first video in a 3 part series. If you missed it, I posted here. Below is the second video of the series.

Now that you know about toxic chemicals in the cosmetics you use every day, what can you do about it? Join Mia, grassroots coordinator for the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, as she dives deeper into lead in lipstick, carcinogens in baby shampoo, hidden ingredients in fragrance and why it's important for you to ask companies and the FDA for safer products.
