I dread daylight savings, I really do. For one, it will totally throw off the boys' sleeping schedule for a few days. But that isn't the worst of it for me. Occasionally William goes threw little phases where he wakes up way too early. For a while he was sleeping till 7:30am which was awesome. However, for the past week or so he's been waking up at 6:00am or even earlier. Right now it's still pretty dark here at that time. So sometimes he'll peek in our room and then go back to his room to hang out or play or whatever. But once we switch the clocks it will be lighter. So instead of him letting me sleep till the little guys wake up, this is what will happen:
William: "Mommy. Mommy. Mommy. Mommy. Mommy..."
Mommy: "William, it's too early, please go back to bed."
William: "No mommy, the sun is awake!"
How do I argue with that?
So don't forget to turn your clocks ahead! For fun, check out this
brief history of daylight savings. Its pretty interesting. I had no idea Arizona and Hawaii don't observe the 8 month period of daylight savings. Boy are they lucky (in my opinion anyway). ;)
